- Q: What's the minimum number for a group booking?
- A: Usually 6. A group of fewer than 6 pay the same as 6.
For Borough Market Friday mornings, and Borough Market meets Vinopolis Thursdays, the minimum is 8 people.
- Q: What is the maximum number for a group booking?
- A: 12 people. The exception is Borough Market Meets Vinopolis on Thursday afternoons, for which I can take up to 20 people.
- Q: Is there a discount for group bookings?
- A: For 10 or more people, take £5 off the stated price. (Not including Borough Market Meets Vinopolis).
- Q: I want to buy a gift voucher, but I'm not sure which tour the recipient would prefer; what should I do?
- A: I will email you a voucher which describes all three. You pay for the cheapest (£55) and make up the difference when they book.
- Q: Do the gift vouchers have an expiry date?
- A: They are good for 1 year.
- Q: Are Gastrotours suitable for people with special diets, ie vegetarians?
- A: All Gastrotours are suitable for any special diet as long as I am informed in advance. Borough Market is the "meatiest" of the tours, but there is plenty for vegetarians, especially if they like cheese! That said, in the past I have made special arrangements for vegans and dairy-free diets, and many others.
- Q: Can I arrange a Borough Market Gastrotour for a Saturday?
- A: Currently no; Saturdays are virtually impossible as the market is uncomfortably busy. Also most of the stalls / shops etc are too busy taking money to accomodate us. We would have to do the wine tasting at 9:30 am!
- Q: Can I bring my child in a pram?
- A: Yes, although Borough Market mornings would be difficult with a pram for the last hour.
- Q: Is it suitable for wheelchair users?
- A: Absolutely yes, though I will inform you of any awkward points to be aware of in advance.
- Q: If I am sick on the day or unable to come for some reason, can I get a refund?
- A: Unfortunately no. You can, however, send someone in your place.
- Q: What if I have to cancel or postpone a group booking?
- A: If you have to cancel, you must give me at least two weeks' notice, and your deposit (£200) will be refunded in full. If you wish to reschedule, your deposit will be carried over. I will be in touch a week before the booked date to confirm numbers and arrange payment in full.
